adjusting your e-chair
Now that you've got your e-chair, it's time to get to know it. Proper usage of the e-chair is essential for taking full advantage of its features. We understand that the e-chair's array of controls can be a little daunting, but it's not as tough as it looks. We promise. Each feature headline below links to a video to help you. Just take a deep breath and follow these instructions.

seat height
To properly adjust seat height, use the seat height adjustment located below the seat on the right side. Raise the lever with your weight off the chair and allow the seat to reach its highest point. Then, slowly lower yourself down until your feet are firmly placed on the floor. When the height is set correctly, your hips should be slightly higher than your knees.
seat pan
Now, on to the seat. The seat pan adjustment control allows you to slide the seat pan forward or backwards in relation to the back, for the best possible knee position. The adjustment control is the most forward lever on the left side of the chair beneath the seat. To adjust the position of the seat, simply lift the lever and slide the seat forward or backward to the desired position. Once you've found the position that's most comfortable, release the lever and the chair will lock in place.
lumbar support
Next up is the active lumbar support, which provides continuous support and constant alignment. Simply slide the lumbar support up or down to the proper height.
back angle
The e-chair back helps maintain equal distribution of body weight by providing continuous support with no seat rise. The back is lockable in any position. To adjust the angle of the seat back, lift the back tilt lever, which is the rearmost lever below seat level on the left side of the chair. Lean back or forward to the desired position. Then push the lever back down to lock it into place. The back should lock firmly into place.
back tension
The resistance of the chair back can be continuously adjusted to provide the most comfortable level of support while you are leaning back in the chair. Simply turn the knob located directly under the middle of the seat to either increase or decrease the resistance of the back.
arm height
Arm supports are adjustable in both height and width to provide you with the most precise support in a natural sitting position. To adjust arm height, push the button located on the vertical armrest support that's located on each side of the chair. First, push the arms down to their lowest setting. Then, while you are sitting on the chair, relax your shoulders and arms down to your side. Once they are relaxed, raise the arm supports until you can gently rest your elbows and forearms.
arm width
Then, to adjust the width of the armrests, use the lever located under the seat, directly in front of the armrest support on each side. Push the lever forward to unlock, then slide the armrest to the desired width. Pull the lever back to lock the armrest into place. Repeat for the other armrest.
pivot control
Finally, the e-chair offers a unique synchronous knee pivot control that can optimize the chair in three ways: forward, for writing or keyboard work; middle, for normal seating; and rearward, for conferencing or relaxing. To set this adjustment, use the tilt lever, which is the most forward lever on the right side of the chair, under the level of the seat. While leaning back, rotate the lever to one of the three positions.

That wasn't so hard, was it? Don't hesitate to readjust any parts that seem uncomfortable or unnatural. There's no one correct way to sit for everyone, so feel free to shape the e-chair to suit your body. Time spent now learning what the e-chair can do will pay off in years of healthy sitting.
